Bidding and Contracting
Chamber staff or volunteers will assist members with processes and review of RFEs or RFPs that come available at the county and city level.
An RFP is a call for commercial proposals from potential suppliers. These proposals would normally include a price or quotation element. An RFE is similar to an RFI (Request for Information). Both are used when an organization is conducting research rather than requesting commercial bids.A typical process is for a company to issue an RFI or RFE to gather information about a product or service and the various companies who can supply it. This information then informs the creation of an RFP and a shortlist of suppliers to be invited to bid.
